When the blood sugar levels drop, here are the symptoms that you should be on the lookout for –

  • shakiness
  • sweating

  • hunger
  • anxiety
  • headache
  • lightheadedness
  • confusion
  • feeling tired or sleepy

So, how can you increase your levels of sugar in the bllood right back up to the normal rate? Well, most of the sugar in the blood usually comes from the carbs.

The carbs are the sugars as well as the starches in grains, vegetables, milk, fruit, beans, milk products, honey and sugar. If you are not suffering from diabetes, you are still feeling all of the unpleasant effects of dropping levels of blood sugar, make sure that you consume something that cntains carbs in it.

Some of the good choices are several pieces of fruit, several whole grai wheat crackers, a glass of milk or maybe a carton of yogurt. But, what about those people who are suffering from diabetes and yet, experience this too?

The hypoglycemia can come very suddenly and it needs to be immediately treated in order t prevent it from getting worse. Make sure you consume easily absorbed carb filled food, such as – half a cup of fruit juice, half a cup of regular soft drinks, a cup of milk, 4-5 hard candies, 2 tablespoons of raisins, 4-5 saltine crackers, several glucose tablets, several teaspoons of sugar or honey.
